Some people say the entire green energy industry is supported by massive subsidies and government interventions. I would agree with that and feel that is why the big energy companies will not let the green movement take off. And we all know that with the governments hand in things, nothing much ever gets done and when it does, it is way to costly, except for the large sponsored corporations.green power
Now, there has to be a way to improve the conditions of the green energy industry to benefit all.
In Palm Desert Ca. There is a big issue right now going on that is trying to be controlled by government, who want taxes from the company trying to set up a wind farm here in the area. If they get their way, two things may happen. One, the company will take it’s farm to another state, say Arizona for example. Second, the imposed taxes will increase the cost of the energy produced, thereby turning a good thing, free energy from the wind, into something just as expensive, or close to it, as energy from the grid.
Another thing is going on up in Canada that blows my mind. A small town is supposedly having adverse affects from the wind turbines near their homes. The wind turbines have made their homes toxic and they have had to move away, and they cannot sell their homes. These turbines are huge and noisy, and create stray voltages and air pressures that affect small birds and bats. Baloney! It is quite hard to believe that. But the fact is they are having problems, but is it really the wind turbines that are to blame?
Now why have I not heard of this from any other area where wind farms exist? Either the company is doing something wrong, or it is a push to eliminate green energy from wind power. I have heard of toxic water that catches on fire from the nearby natural gas lines. Homeowners have had to move away, that is obvious. But from wind power? Something else has to be going on that has not been discovered yet. I am not saying that the giant wind turbines are not causing the problems, just that it seems like a long reach.
There has to be more research done about this issue as we don’t want to spread fear about wind energy, which this is doing. Naturally I feel for the homeowners and hope they will find a solution soon.
So there are many solutions needed to move in the right direction regarding wind power. I have many ideas, but they are probably not profit motivated, and that is the problem. The greed factor has to be removed before wind energy can really become viable.Does anyone else have any ideas that can be proposed regarding this issue? We have all witnessed the brutal force unleashed by nature through the use of wind. Whether this brutal force of wind power was from a tornado, a hurricane or maybe even just an unforgiving high winds threat in your area. The fact is we all know wind has some great power behind it so why not harness the power of wind and start living green from using wind as power.
Wind is a free resource of energy given to us by nature. Using wind power for energy means this power does not produce any green house gases or any other waste materials for that matter. Wind turbines, also called windmills, are able to harness the power of wind and transform it into kinetic energy and a usable mechanical energy. Since, wind speeds fluctuate on a day to day bases, it is not recommended that harnessing the wind for power as a sole source of energy. An easy example of how unpredictable wind is a calm breeze can turn into a tornado and a tornado can turn into a calm breeze. Thus making wind a very unstable concept for power. Even though it is not very stable does not mean we can not harness the power of the wind most days of the year. It just means we may have to rely on our electric companies to provide us with power on those unforgiving days we can’t use our wind turbines.
With many places along the globe establishing what we now call wind farms. These farms are being produced at an extravagant number. With these wind farms being developed the main question is can the produce enough power needs to adequately produce enough power to run towns, or cities.
